Australian Hypnosis Conference (AHC) is committed to ensuring that all decisions made in accordance with its Guidelines adhere to principles of procedural fairness. To uphold these standards, the following criteria will be met:

a) Notification: AHC will inform the Respondent of their right to object to a complaint or appeal a decision. If the Respondent chooses to engage legal counsel, AHC will immediately transfer all relevant information to the appropriate State Health Care Rights body. This approach is designed to avoid unnecessary delays and to protect both the Association and its members from incurring undue costs.

b) Right to Respond: The Respondent will be fully informed of the case against them and will be given a fair opportunity to respond. This includes access to all materials available to AHC decision-makers, especially any adverse material. The Respondent will be provided with a reasonable timeframe to prepare their response.

 c) Evidence Consideration: While AHC decision-making is not strictly bound by the formal rules of evidence, decisions will be based on credible and reliable evidence that reasonably supports the facts or issues at hand, such as testimony from credible witnesses. AHC will not accept hearsay evidence, and all evidence submitted may be subject to a court subpoena.

 d) Impartiality and Objectivity: AHC decision-makers will act impartially, without any real or perceived bias. Decisions will be made with an objective mindset, ensuring that there is no reasonable apprehension of bias or lack of impartiality in the decision-making process.

Post-Conference Training Policy

All post-conference training sessions are one-day events held on the Monday after AHC, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Each session includes morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea.

Training Fees: Each training is $350 AUD. Trainers receive $225, and $125 goes to Pellen and Palmer to cover venue hire, catering, taxes, and processing costs.

Training Format: Trainers have the flexibility to finish earlier than 5:00 pm if their program concludes ahead of schedule. They may also split the day into two shorter sessions (for example, a morning and afternoon training) if they wish. Only speakers from the Australian Hypnosis Conference are eligible to offer official post-conference training sessions. However, anyone is welcome to organise their own training on other days at their own discretion and expense.

Cancellations and Refunds: We have a no-refund policy. In the rare case a refund is approved, the trainer covers 50 percent of the associated fees. If an attendee cannot attend, we will contact them to discuss a possible credit alternative.

Trainer Responsibilities: We can print your manuals and certificates to help reduce costs. Before the event, we will contact you with attendee details and training requirements (such as projectors). Trainers are expected to promote their session through social media and email lists, and to create an event post encouraging attendance.

Trainer Cancellations: If you cancel your session, you are fully liable for all related expenses, including any printing, fees, tax and/or venue costs already incurred. We value clear communication, so please contact us promptly if something arises.

Commission Payments: All commissions are paid in December following the conference.
